Adolescent Bipolar Disorder & Schizophrenia

Mountain Mind in Denver, Colorado is currently seeking study participants affected by Adolescent Bipolar Disorder or Schizophrenia. Qualified participants will be compensated for time and travel and open label study medication for one year.

If you meet the following criteria, you may be eligible to participate. Criteria for qualification are as follows:

  • Patients must provide written assent and the patient’s parent, or legal guardian must provide written informed consent.
  • Male or female patients 12 through 17 years of age (inclusive), diagnosed with either schizophrenia or bipolar I disorder.
  • Patients who are cooperative, able to ingest oral medication, and willing to complete all aspects of the study.
  • Patients in need of treatment
  • Patients who have not been hospitalized within the past 2 months.
  • Patients in good physical health on the basis of medical history, physical examination, laboratory screening, and electrocardiogram (ECG).
  • Patients with a stable housing situation and a guardian/parent who can encourage compliance with the study protocol.
  • Females of childbearing potential using adequate contraception from month prior to enrollment through 1 month after the last dose of study medication.
  • Patients must have an electrocardiogram (ECG), andclinical laboratory tests, which are all within the normal range.
  • Patients must be able to communicate well with the Investigator and able to understand and comply with the requirements of the study.

Major Depressive Disorder - Children & Adolescents

Mountain Mind is screening children and adolescents with Major Depressive Disorder who are between the ages of 7 to 17 who have been clinically diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder.

Qualified study participants will be compensated for time and travel and be required to adhere to the schedule of visitation per the study protocols.
